Privacy notice

This notice explains what MAW (Make Art Werk) collects, why, where it is kept, and your rights. MAW is run by Alessandré Petzer, EI, trading as MAW (Make Art Werk), 6 Impasse Delpeche, 13003 Marseille, France, SIRET 981 896 855 00013. Contact: info@makeartwerk.com.

Your work, your choices

You decide what is public and what stays private: each work, each detail of your bio, each collection or capsule. Nothing appears on your public page until you choose to show it. If anything you see does not match your settings, tell us at info@makeartwerk.com and we will correct it.

What we collect and why

• Waitlist. Your email, and the name and answers you choose to give, to contact you about early access. Legal basis: your consent.
• Feedback survey. Your answers, and your name and email only if you add them, to improve the product. You can answer anonymously. Legal basis: your consent.
• Your account. Name, handle, email, a one-way hash of your password, and your plan and billing status, to provide the service. Legal basis: our contract with you.
• Your work. The records, images and documents you add, to provide the service. You decide what is public. Legal basis: our contract with you.
• Messages. What you send us through the contact and enquiry forms, to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying.
• Payments. Handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• Spam protection. Your IP address with each form you send, used only to limit abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the service usable.
• Analytics. Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager, only if you accept analytics cookies. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Where it is kept

• Supabase: database and files, in the EU (Paris).
• Vercel: hosting of the app.
• Resend: sending email.
• Stripe: payments.
• Google: analytics, only with your consent.
• Namecheap: the makeartwerk.com website, and the download file of an archive that includes images.
• ImprovMX: forwarding email sent to @makeartwerk.com.

Some of these companies are based outside the EU. Where your data leaves the EU, they rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

• Account and work: while your account exists. If a trial or subscription ends without continuing, your workspace pauses and we email you a full copy of your archive. You then have two weeks to download it and back it up. After that, we delete your workspace and its files. Copies in our daily backups are deleted automatically within 7 days.
• Keep your own copies. MAW organises and shares your work; it is not meant to be the only place your files live.
• Waitlist: until you ask us to remove you, or 12 months after launch.
• Survey answers and messages: 2 years, then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, download (your archive export) or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. Write to info@makeartwerk.com. You can also complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr).
